Doctor Doris received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics in 1977. After operating a private practice in general dentistry in Marietta, Georgia for six years, he returned to the University of Louisville, where he became an instructor for Pre-Doctoral/Orthodontic Dentistry, and a Resident Member of Cleft Palate and Craniofacial team in the Department of Surgery/Orthodontics. From 1978 to 2010, he operated a private orthodontic practice in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Doris also held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Orthodontic Department at Emory University School of Dentistry from 1985 to 1990. In addition to his role as a faculty member at the Georgia School of Orthodontics, he is also an Associate Professor and Director of Orthodontic Laboratory in the Orthodontic program at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Frouchard Academy.
