Our mission at Georgia School of Orthodontics, is to provide our community with the highest quality, technologically advanced orthodontic care at a more affordable price. A significant way we demonstrate our commitment to our mission is through our investment in our state-of-the art technology for the benefit for our patients.
Patients and their families will be wowed by our technological investments. We are the first orthodontic school in the nation to have the CS3600, 3D Intraoral Scanner, and we have two of them! These scanners mean greater accuracy and speed for virtual treatment planning for our doctors and this no more goopy impressions or plaster for our patients. This scanner is like the Da Vinci Robot of orthodontics… replacing manual procedures with technological precision. We use this in conjunction with the Perfectory Vida 3D printer. 3D printing allows us to construct custom appliances (e.g. retainers, mouth guards, and other oral appliances), study models, and gives us the capability for automatic color matching for the lab to print teeth. Yes, we can print teeth! It is highly accurate, taking the guesswork out of bracket placement using indirect bonding techniques.
In the treatment area, we have top of the line equipment that provides visual aids and computerization for patient explanation and education. We are radiation and hygiene conscious, which drove our decision to invest in the Cone Beam Extraoral Scanner. This scanner uses a pulsed X-ray, which means a lower dosage for our patients. It also allows us to select 2D or 3D high resolution imaging resolution imaging for a more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Our office will provide 100% electronic records for maximum efficiency. Dentists will have access to all patient records with the click of a mouse. This will prove extremely valuable should a patient contact us after clinic hours with an emergency situation. The doctor and clinical assistant will be able to review the patients records immediately and assess the situation for resolution. We want your overall patient experience at GSO to be like no other!
