On Thursday, June 2, 2016 Georgia School of Orthodontics hosted the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its state-of-the-art facility in Sandy Springs. Doctor Randy Kluender, Chairman of the GSO Board of Directors, kicked off the event with welcoming remarks and acknowledgments. Dr. Kluender was joined by a notable line-up of speakers featuring Wendell Willard, Ga. State Representative and City Attorney for Sandy Springs, Liz Hausman, Fulton County Commissioner of District 1, Randy Duncan, Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce, and Doctor Pramod Sinha, GSO Program Director. Following the grand opening keynote, Dr. Sinha awarded three children with complimentary orthodontic care. GSO will provide the recipients with any necessary orthodontic work including braces, retainers, surgeries and more at no cost.
Guests gathered around for the ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the facility. The celebration continued with a reception where guests took exclusive tours of the state-of-the-art facility and met the GSO orthodontists and staff. The twenty-chair clinic showcased some of its latest technological advancements, including the CS 3600 intraoral scanner, which enables the orthodontic residents to take a 3D digital scan of a patient’s teeth then immediately make adjustments and it eliminates, the goopy plaster impressions. GSO is the first orthodontic school in the nation to have this technology. The Georgia School of Orthodontics’ presence in Georgia will address a critical need for orthodontists and affordable care in the region.
